Hope & Kristi are a mother and daughter (respectively) team. They are both passionate about helping others and about doing it God’s way.
Empowering Your HOPE (EYH) is a site that hopes to uplift others through sharing devotionals, prayers, and stories. The two ladies who founded it are passionate about using their God-given gifts and talents to help others however they can.
One of their favorite Bible verses is, “So let’s not get tired of doing what is good.” (Galatians 6:9a)

Hope is a science teacher by profession and has home-schooled her four children until it was time for each child to go to high school (grade seven in The Bahamas).
She is the leader of the Prayer Ministry at her church (the Prayer Garden) in Nassau, Bahamas. She is also the co-leader of the church’s Marriage Ministry alongside her husband, Cardinal.
Her passion is prayer. She knows all too well that she is absolutely nothing without God and that devoid of Him, she is doomed to failure. As a child, Hope watched her mother diligently pray for her large family on a daily basis. This consistent action deposited a seed of prayer deep within her. And now, Hope continues to grow and mature in Christ knowing that only He is capable of doing the things she is unable to think about or remotely understand (Ephesians 3:20) – that only God-touched prayer can make things happen!
Kristi Collie

Kristi, her daughter, is an engineer by training and has recently obtained her M.Eng from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). She has over 5 years of construction project management and 2 years of college math/physics tutoring experience. Currently, she is a stay at home mom but hopes to find the perfect balance between her family life and her career one day (when the kids are older).
She and her husband, Wendell, are parents of twin boys, James & Gabriel, and one sweet boy, Micah. This family of 5 has already begun to emulate Kristi’s family by having a prayer filled house. They truly believe and strive to live by Joshua 24:15: “…as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
One of Kristi’s biggest passions is encouraging others – by being vulnerable and sharing her life experiences. She hopes that EYH can be a place of encouragement – feel free to share your story! We want to hear from you and also help others by being testimonies.
